★☆I feel that the true roots of Akame have been lost in fandom over the past couple of years, so I'm doing my best to get their history recirculating and bring some cuteness to fans that may have missed out on the real Akame. This relationship was based on fact back in the day, y'know. Please check out the Akame history tag

occasionally nsfw ヽ(´ー`)ノ British, old (22), vegetarian, asexual, Kamesexual, prone to bouts of depression, and in love with love ♥ Akame obsessive, Kuroshitsuji, yaoi, guro, Dir en grey, Merry. Sherlock. Still pretending that I'm not in the Supernatural fandom, but shhh I kind of am. I'm a very anxious person in real life and in internetland; I'd love to make friends, but I can be awkward and nervous and shy about talking to you. If I say something dumb it probably means I like you and was trying to be smart ಥ_ಥ

It makes me sad, but I always wonder, what ruined Akanishi and Kamenashi’s friendship? I’m not talking about any sort of fangirl pairing, but rather a kizuna between two close friends.

Work and life, I believe. I don’t think the possibility of it being fandom influenced is all that likely, but they both changed dramatically as people. It was quite a short period in which they went from bffs to closed off and cold, but a lot happened and they both were forced into changing as people. Kame’s debut with Pi, we’ve since learned, did cause a rift in his relationship with the whole band, and as it was Pi Jin possibly took it worse. The other most common theories (but never confirmed) I’ve seen are that Jin was shunted from a role he’d already been given (Yuya in Sapuri) as they decided it was too similar to his role in Anego, and cast Kame instead, and that there’s a possibility Kame coerced Jin’s girlfriend into leaving Jin for him. It’s not just that Akame and their interaction with eachother changed, both of the boys changed, too.
I have seen rumours, fan reports and sightings, and small moments on camera that make me think it wasn’t so much an issue between the two of them, though. I sometimes feel that the entire band were a tense mess and falling apart at the time, but it came across stronger because the two of them had been so close. Jin’s letter reading at 24hr TV in ‘06 was uncomfortable, but he still spoke about Kame and their bond when he could have bsed it. They’ve had their fights, hated each other, ignored each other, but I’m sure their bond is stronger than that. Rumours and fansightings (which are an unreliable but nevertheless consistent source) have never stopped showing signs that they’re still friends and still spend time together, but relationships change as you change, and things that have happened between you mean the relationship can’t go back to the way it was. Having a strong bond doesn’t mean them being outwardly sparkly bffs for the sake of cameras, nor does a few months of bad feeling and tension mean it was irreparably broken.
Whatever happens in their lives, they may share that bond forever. They are each others memories, and all those years don’t mean nothing just because life goes on and changes. Some people you have a bond with for life, if you only see them once a month, year, or if you never see them again; a real bond never gets broken.
